Fernwood Nursery Venture is the brainchild of  Georgia Tech trained engineer turned botanist Lamar Beard.  The greenhouse is a result of several years of development of a hurricane window design. The first window frame designs were steel and weighed 400 plus pounds. Fast forward to today . Now our window is a maple and polycarbonate structure designed to widthstand 800lb/sqft of hurricane pressure, achieve an R -value (insulation rating) of up to 50, and could be an active solar panel. The solar panel functionality is still under development and will carry an additional cost.  

The purchase of your greenhouse will underwrite our final phases of hurricane willow development and test.  All development and testing cost up to this point have been financed personally out-of-pocket. Your purchase will give you a profit share that pays you back 2/3 of your cost/investment. based on window sales.  Click tab below for details.
